Blowin' in the Wind: Extreme Balloon Tying, The Sequel

On May 28 I posted a review of a book called Extreme Balloon Tying: More Than 40 Over-the-Top Projects. We could be excused for assuming that the subtitle's claim of "40 over-the-top projects" was a bit of editor's hype for the cool balloon crafts presented inside the book.

But no-o-o! Thanks to William Letendre for photos of what the secret knowledge of balloon-tying can lead to. It looks like it's quite a party when balloon-tying enthusiasts get together--as long as the room doesn't get too crowded. For style starters, here's a kittenish little costume that'll make the other party-goer's eyes, er, POP!

Need something prim and proper for your appearance as prom princess? Here's an airy little number for the, um, well-rounded princess.

Or maybe you're feeling like something with a bit more oomph to fit your, um, bubbly personality? Here's a bright little number with a bit of latex Latina style.

Feeling just a big gnarly at the thoughts of popping in for a minute at the big blowout? Boring guests, full of hot air, always wanna shoot the breeze with you? Here's an outfit that'll blow 'em all away!

And if the party gets a bit over the top, and you expect to feel like something the cat dug up in the morning, here's an outfit that'll give you a head start!

It's all worth it, though, just to get to blow off steam with a few of your, er, airhead friends.

While your enthusiasm for mine and my friends art is wonderful some credit is definitely due Or Over Due. (Librarian joke)

There is no affiliation between the Extreme Balloon Tying Book and the artist pictured above.I have not met either one of the authors or Mr Letendre. Would like to see them at some balloon conventions soon.

  • Thank you to Mark Byrne for nailing those citations so completely. It's great to have the web sites he listed for the use of novice balloon artists inspired by Levine's & Ouichi's book.

    Those designs are truly amazing!
